Overview:

Kathleen O’Connell has 17 years of experience in mechanical integrity (MI) databases.  She previously worked for MISTRAS Group as an on-site database administrator/MI clerk handling all aspects of inspection and TA planning.  This also included working directly with inspectors, NDE technicians, planning department personnel, and on-site QA/QC personnel.  She has a broad understanding of maintaining MI databases/records for inspection department audits and regulatory compliance.  She has acted as SME for multiple internal and state audits of MI databases, audited internal procedures and REPs, and has presented and implemented required compliance items.

Kathleen has conducted several PCMS training sessions for client inspectors and support staff and continues to provide support as an SME for those who attend her training sessions.

Kathleen understands the management of relief valves and has implemented the Relief Valve Module in PCMS.  She has performed extensive audits of existing relief valve programs and identified and reconciled gaps in inspection, maintenance, and planning.  She has also created a step-by-step relief valve implementation guide for PCMS. 

In addition, Kathleen has collaborated in the writing and implementation of new inspection policies and procedures.  She has worked in and has an understanding of PCMS, SAP, AutoCad, UltraPipe, and Digital Radiography Programs.
